Smoking and Gambling

I am not a gambler myself and am definitely not a smoker.
I have been to the casino many times and watched as people sit at the machines stuffing their cash into the slots with hope that the light and buzzers will go off alerting the "Big Win". Something else that I have noticed is that most of them are smoking. Is there a connection between smokers and gamblers? Is a smoker dumb enough to continue feeding their money to the tobacco industry just as fast as they stuff their bills into the casino pockets with the false hope that money will rain down on them. A gambler has a very small chance that they may win but the smoker has no chance in any benefit from filling their lungs full of toxic smoke and chemicals while the Tobacco Industry CEO's roll in the dough!
